How cool is it when you have a large, luxury family estate that is also one of the fastest vehicles on the street? You can actually have more space than in most cars, more perks and more power than most people know what to do with.
However, those who do know always want to go a step further. We are here for them.
As stock, the RS6 comes with a 4.0 TFSI V8 that produces 560 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Turbo lag is next to none, thanks to two turbochargers and elaborate software loaded into the OEM ECU.
These things make the RS6 an outstanding vehicle even when stock, but our two tuning stages push the boundaries way beyond the stock performance levels.
Stage 1 Tuning for the Audi RS6 C7
Of the two stages presented here, the stage 1 gives most of the power increase. Even better, it includes only software tweaks, so aside from giving a huge power boost, it is also very cost efficient.
The power increase comes from a few steps of tuning. The first two include an adjustment in the turbo pressure that feeds more air into the cylinders and an increase in the amount of fuel injected that accompanies the increase in the amount of air.
These two steps are the most important for adding power. However, they are not enough. We also adjust ignition timing to improve combustion of the added air and fuel and also to improve throttle response.
Throttle response becomes noticeably more immediate than before and, combined with the added power and Audi’s famed Quattro AWD system, this RS6 reacts like a beast.
So, how much more power does the car now have?
After our stage 1 tuning, this Audi RS6 C7 produces 682 hp and 903 Nm of torque. There are no hardware changes and each of the adjustments is completely safe for the intake, exhaust, engine, transmission and literally everything else on the car.
This is simply now a lot more powerful car. But it can be even more.
Stage 2 Tuning for the Audi RS6 C7
This is why this customer of ours opted for stage 2 tuning as well. Stage 2 is famous for introducing some basic hardware parts and not really adding heaps of power, but rather letting the engine breathe better and serving as a great basis for stage 3 tuning.
However, the RS6 stage 2 tuning does actually bring a noticeable increase in power. It comes from a K&N cold air intake, Alpha Performance air-to-water intercooler and an exhaust made by either Milltek, or Akrapovic or Super Sprint. All of them give similar performance, but their own distinctive sounds.
The owner of this RS6 opted for Akrapovic. We adjusted software a bit more to make use of the new intake and exhaust parts and the dyno measurement resulted in 730 hp and 1000 Nm of torque.
With such power this completely street legal RS6 C7 hardly has a competitor on the road. It is massively more powerful than any stock RS6, or any of its usual competitors and all that in total safety and for a portion of the price you would need for a stock car with such power.
